Christmas concert
OXFORD — Grace Fellowship Church will hold a Winter Wonderland Christmas Concert at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20. Sunday School children will start the evening with song, followed by Teresa Foye and a variety of church members. There will be no charge for the event. Texas hold ’em
NORWAY — The Harrison Lions Club will host a Texas Hold ‘Em tournament on Saturday, Dec. 19, at Charlie’s Entertainment Center, 246 Main St. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. and the game will start at 1 p.m. There is a $55 entry fee and the game is limited to 100 people.

Solstice observance
WEST PARIS — The First Universalist Church of West Paris will have a special service to observe the solstice at 9 a.m. during the regular worship service on Sunday, Dec. 20.
The Rev. Richard Beal will discuss the subject of the growing use of pagan, neo-pagan and earth-centered spirituality in main line churches. People of all religious backgrounds, or none, are welcome.
Society party
WEST PARIS — The West Paris Historical Society will meet for a Christmas party at 6:30 p.m Monday, Dec. 21, at the home of Elaine and Norman Emery, High Street. It will be a dessert and punch party with a short meeting, if needed. The society will not meet again until April 19.

SOUTH PARIS — Trinity Lutheran Church, 34 Buckfield Road, invites all children to youth choir at 9 a.m. and all people to worship service at 10:15 a.m. on the Fourth Sunday in Advent, Dec. 20. Worship service will be followed with coffee, refreshments and fellowship.
