Rumford police responded to 45 complaints between 6 a.m. Dec. 13 and 6
a.m. Dec. 20. Basic traffic stops are not given a complaint number.

Arrests/summonses

Dec. 14 at 3:15 p.m.: Gary Bannelli, 66, a transient, was arrested
by Cpl. Douglas Maifeld on a charge of criminal trespass on Route 2.
Bannelli was unable to post $500 cash bail, was taken to the Oxford
County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on
Feb. 2.

Dec. 14 at 3:45 p.m.: Gary Bannelli, 66, a transient, was arrested
by Cpl. Douglas Maifeld on a warrant from Hancock County for failure to
appear on a criminal trespass charge in 2006. Bannelli was unable to
post $1,000 cash bail and was transported to the Oxford County Jail.

Dec. 14 at 11:48 p.m.: Alexandria Morton, 39, of Rumford was
arrested by Cpl. Matthew Noyes on warrants for failure to appear and
operating after suspension on High Street. Morton posted $300 cash bail
and was released.

Dec. 18 at 9:20 p.m.: Alfred Gravel, 22, of Casco was arrested by
Patrolman Michael Belanger on a charge of possession of a Schedule W
drug on Bridge Street. Gravel was also charged with illegal possession
of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Gravel posted $1,000 unsecured
bail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Feb. 2.

Dec. 18 at 9:20 p.m.: Christopher Burgess, 19, of Mexico was cited
by Patrolman Lawrence Winson on a charge of illegal possession of
marijuana on Bridge Street. Burgess is scheduled to appear in Rumford
District Court on Feb. 2.

Dec. 20 at 1:50 a.m.: William Conley, 40, of Rumford was arrested by
Patrolman Michael Belanger on a charge of domestic violence assault and
criminal threatening on Erchles Street. Conley was unable to post bail,
was taken to the Oxford County Jail and is scheduled to appear in
Rumford District Court on Feb. 2.

Assault

Dec. 14 at 6:36 p.m.: A Bryant Pond resident reported being
head-butted by a Rumford resident. No charges were filed because the
victim refused to cooperate.

Rumford currently has 26 known registered sex offenders living in
