Alice F. (Christian) Landry
1923 – 2009
SOUTH PARIS -Alice Francis (Christian) Landry passed away peacefully on Dec. 25, at the Maine Veterans Home in South Paris.
She was born in Lowell, Mass., on May 9, 1923, the daughter of Laura (Marion) Christian and Henry David Christian. She made her home most of her life in the town of Dracut, Mass., with her husband and children.
She was married on Oct. 27, 1945, to Edgar E. Landry. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, camping and bingo. She was a member of St. Rita’s Parish in Lowell, Mass.
Alice is survived by her three children, Elaine Vaillancourt and her husband, Rudolph, Diane Dionne and her husband, Edward, and her son, Roger Landry, all of Maine. Also surviving her are a brother, Donald Christian of Lowell, Mass.; two sisters, Florence Lequin of Lowell, Mass., and Rolande Jean of Dracut, Mass. Alice was the proud grandmother of nine grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by both of her parents, Laura and Henry Christian; her husband, Edgar E. Landry; and her two sons, Richard E. Landry and Paul Victor Landry; her brothers Armand, Raymond, Robert, David and Emile Christian.
