Lawrence Franchetti
1938 – 2010

STRATFORD, N.J. — Lawrence Franchetti of Pennsauken, N.J., died Jan. 5, at a hospice in Stratford, N.J.

He was born Aug. 20, 1938, in Livermore Falls, to Chiarina Rea and Rebello Franchetti. He was a football, basketball and baseball star at Livermore Falls High School, graduating in 1956. He attended the USCG Academy, sailing across the Atlantic Ocean on the USCG Eagle twice and graduated from the University of Maine (Orono) in 1962, with a degree in mechanical engineering.

He enjoyed his work and the friends he made there immensely,
starting at DuPont in Rochester, N.Y., and Wilmington, Del., Western
Lithotech in St. Louis, Interprint in Holyoke, Mass., William Arthur in
Kennebunkport and most recently with MPC Industries in Pennsauken
and King’s Mountain Int’l in King’s Mountain, N.C.

He lived a life full of fun, friends, family and, of course, golf and skiing and will be greatly missed.

He was a wonderful brother, father, grandfather and friend.

He is survived by his sister, Carmen; his children, Lisa, Meg and Lawrence; and his grandchildren, Nicole, Danielle and Isabel.
