FARMINGTON — Franklin Health Women’s Care announces that Daisy Goodman, a certified nurse practitioner/midwife who specializes in women’s health and obstetrics, recently received her doctor of nursing practice degree from Massachusetts General Hospital’s Institute for Health Professions.

Goodman focused her doctoral work on the evidence-based care of pregnant women with opioid dependency in the rural hospital setting.

Goodman joined Franklin Health Women’s Care in 2006. She received her master’s degree in nurse-midwifery from State University of New York at Stonybrook. Prior to that she attended Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing in Hyden, Ky., earning her women’s health nurse practitioner certificate and nurse-midwifery certificate.
