DIXFIELD — The following incidents were handled recently by the Dixfield Police Department.
Thefts
Jan. 2, 9:45 p.m.: A Hall Hill Road resident reported the theft of about $150 cash from his home. A juvenile has been picked up on a probation hold.
Jan. 4, 11:47 p.m.: The owner of Merrill’s Greenhouse on the Merrill Road reported someone had taken a business check and cashed it electronically. The amount of the check is unknown.
Jan 8: A Pine Street sign was taken from the street.
Jan. 20, 9:58 a.m.: A woman house-sitting on Fairbanks Avenue reported that someone had taken 90, non-narcotic prescription pills. Police have a lead.
Accident
Jan. 10, 5:30 p.m.: Douglas Burdo, Jay, struck a deer as he was driving along the Canton Point Road.
