Jean F. McAllister

SOUTH PARIS – Jean F. McAllister, 71, of Norway died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at the Market Square Health Care Center in South Paris with her loving husband and family by her side.

Jean was born in South Paris to Walter and Ruth Thompson Truman.

On June 5, 1959, she married Carl McAllister. She was a member of the Universalist Church in Norway, where she was a member of the choir. She enjoyed singing, painting, sewing, cooking, square dancing with Carl, fishing and hunting.

She is survived by her husband, Carl, of Norway, three sons, Scot and his wife, Lou, of Cary, N.C., Steve and wife, Daphne, of Norway, and Jamie and wife, Sue, of Norway; a daughter, Becky (McAllister) Toothaker and husband, Dick, of Oxford; a brother, Jeffery Truman of Dexter; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was predeceased by a brother, James Truman.
