Bubar major decisioned Jordon Fogg of Bucksport. Art Stambach of Lisbon lost 9-2 in the 189 final to outstanding wrestler Doug Richardson of Dexter.

Eric Coloumbe of Monmouth decisioned 2009 state champion Brandon Jonaitis of Dirigo 2-0.
“It was a hard match,” Coloumbe said. “I didn’t want to go overtime, so at the end I just went for it. It was all heart for me, this time.”
It was the third-straight week the two foes faced each other. It was 0-0 entering third period and Coloumbe executed a switch with 18 seconds left.
“I was confident,” said Jonaitis, who was seeking his 100th-career match. “I’ll go with what got me here, but I do need to change my takedown style against him.”
“We knew it would be close,” Lisbon coach Mark Stevens said. “We needed all seven in finals and hopefully pull away. Plus, Zack Spulde (160), a first-year wrestler, and Ryan Havlack 285 each placed.”

The Cougars’ depth was expected to be an asset, but Chad Oakes took third at 145 and Justin Jasper placed fourth at 125.
