JAY — The Daughters of Isabella Circle 677 from St. Rose of Lima met on Feb. 10. The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Regent Laurie Gagnepain.

Chancellor Laurieann Castonguay lead the group in the restoration of the rosary. Recording Secretary Louise Chandler read the minutes from the January business meeting. Gagnepain talked about Rosemary Poulsen, auditor three. She is asking to be dismissed from the position because of health reasons. It was accepted to dismiss Poulsen from her position.

The group discussed how to get more Catholic women from St. Rose in Jay or St. Joseph’s in Farmington to join the Daughters of Isabella.

The group received a few thank you cards and they were read by Chandler. A letter was received from the Livermore Falls Middle School asking for donations for their annual Price Is Right fundraiser. It was voted on to help them with a donation.

There were no applications for enrollment to the group.

Gail Kern Dube talked about the public supper that the Knights of Columbus held in January. The knights would like to continue to hold a public supper each month, but would like the daughters to take turns with them. It was voted that the group would still help with supplying desserts, but members are busy with their public suppers, yard sales and other activities.
