STRONG — The Strong Public Library will have new hours beginning Monday, March 1.

The library will be open from 1 to 7 p. m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. Saturdays.

The Saturday 11 a. m. story time for children has become a popular activity, librarian Cheryl McCleery said.

The library also will offer two new programs until June.

A preschool story time for children ages 3 to 5 will be held from 10:30 to 11 a. m. Tuesdays. Children may listen to a story, sing some songs and check out a book.

A program for home-schooled children in grades three to six will be held from 11 to 11:30 a. m. Tuesdays. The children will have the chance to learn more about using a library and participate in a book talk, discuss books or do research.

Younger children must be accompanied by an adult.

Adults interested in joining a new book group on either Tuesday or Thursday can contact the library.

For more information, stop by the library or call 684-4003.
