Years of the Dr. Burgess and Sandy Record partnership to raise public awareness of disease prevention appear to have paid off.

The Records are pioneers, having developed prevention programs and pushed public awareness about healthy eating and fitness habits for decades before it was popular to do so.

The results, in Franklin County where they practice, are in.

A report released by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin’s Population Health Institute has concluded Franklin County is Maine’s healthiest county, largely because of the vast amount of educational information available to help people take better care of themselves. That’s the Records’ doing, and the doing of the people they have attracted to their cause.

Congratulations. It’s nice to see the tremendous result of all their good work.
