Ball registration
PARIS — The Town of Paris Parks and Recreation will hold baseball and softball registrations for the 2010 season from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 27, at the town office. There will be a second registration date from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 3.
Registration is open for all boys and girls ages 5 to 15 and includes the levels of tee ball, Cal Ripken rookies, minors, majors and Babe Ruth baseball in addition to farm team and little league softball. Proof of birth date is needed. Registration will be $30 each child with a family rate for those with more than two players.
The department is also looking for a Babe Ruth coach. If interested or for more information, call Joe Trybus at 890-1437.
Bean supper
SOUTH PARIS — The Ladies Circle, First Congregational Church, will sponsor a baked bean supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26. The meal will include baked beans, casseroles, salads, hot dogs, brown bread, homemade rolls and homemade pies. The cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children under 12. A future supper is planned for March 26.
Line dancing
RUMFORD — The Tuesday morning line dancing sessions at the Rumford Methodist Church Hall on Linnell Street have been discontinued until May 11. Those interested to join are welcome to attend when classes begin again in the spring.
Bridge play
NORWAY — The Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met on Feb. 19 in the Fare Share Building, Main Street. A three-table Howell movement was enjoyed.
Finishing first in flight A were Pete Cummings and Dick Allen, with a 79 percent game; second, Hazel Glazier and Priscilla Rooth, with a 60 percent game.
Finishing first in flight B were Beverly Pelletier and Carol Curran; second, Arlen Riis and Bob Clifford.
