GARDINER — Johnson Hall Performing Arts Center will present eight nights of live music, featuring many acts from out of state as well as Maine favorites, in March and April.

 The music series is hosted by Denise Reehl, artistic consultant at Johnson Hall.  Each show will have two sets. Time Warner Cable will tape the shows for future TV broadcast.

March 5 – Primo Cubano: Hot Latin sounds with Cuban “Son”-style beat.

March 12 –Big Moose Band: Contradance band plays Celtic and fiddle tunes.

March 19 – Inanna, Sisters in Rhythm: West African percussion and vocals.

March 26 – Susie Burke & David Surette: Original folk music.

April 2 – The Hot Seats: Comic, old-timey, bluegrass, ragtime jug band.

April 9 – Revision: Funky, jazzy rock groove.

April 16 – Mark “Guitar” Miller & his Boomer Blues Band: Blues.

April 23 – Valencia Robinson: Dynamic soul singer with jazz cellist Josh McClain.
