BUCKFIELD — The Zadoc Long Free Library has announced that it has been awarded a Books for Children Grant from the Libri Foundation.

The Libri Foundation is located in Eugene, Ore., and provides a two-to-one matching grant for children’s books. The foundation matches funds between $50 and $350. This year they also provided an additional $350 for math and science books. The library was successful in raising the full $350 and has been awarded the additional money for math and science books.

To celebrate the arrival of the new books, the library will have an open house from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 27. There will be readings throughout the day and activities will be available for young readers.

The books will be on display at the library through Feb. 27. New titles include:
