Georgette M. St. Clair

1924 – 2010

LEWISTON — Georgette M. St. Clair, 85, of 23 Spofford St., Lewiston, died Saturday, Feb. 20, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

Born in Lewiston on Oct. 24, 1924, she was the daughter of Adolphe and Etta Comeau Lessard. Educated in Lewiston schools, she was employed for many years in the local shoe industry, and later also worked for Raytheon.

In 1946, she married her first husband, Joseph “Sam” Caron, who passed away in 1976. In 1979, she married her second husband, Maurice St. Clair, who passed away on April 6, 1992.

A member of Holy Cross Church, Prince of Peace Parish, she loved spending time with her family, especially the children, and for more than 25 years happily served as a babysitter to her extended family.

Survivors include a son, Robert Caron and wife, Dorina, of Lewiston; a sister, Yvette and husband, Paul Richard, of Lewiston; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Cecile I. Brown, on Dec. 21, 2005.
