Upcoming schedule for the Redington Wind Farm:

July 11: Site visit by Land Use Regulation Commission.

July 14: Deadline for submittal of pre-filed testimony by intervenors.

Aug. 2-4: Public hearing on the zoning petition submitted by Maine Mountain Power at the Sugarloaf Grand Summitt Conference Center. Summaries of testimony and cross-examination will take place during daytime hours on that Thursday and Friday. The public can attend the hearing and give oral testimony from 6-10 p.m. on that Wednesday and Thursday. The hearing record will remain open until Aug. 14 to allow those interested to file written statements. Rebuttals will be accepted for the following seven days. The commission will then attempt to make its decision within the next 60-90 days.

status

LURC granted intervenor status to 13 organizations, which means those groups will be able to cross-examine witnesses during the public hearing from Wednesday to Friday, Aug. 2-4. The intervenors are:

Group 3

Intervenors that are not consolidated but must coordinate their testimony with other intervenors include Natural Resources Council of Maine, Conservation Law Foundation, Central Maine Power, TransCanada and Friends of the Western Mountains.
