LEWISTON – Frank Bednarczyk, 94, of Lewiston, passed away at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018. Born in Central Falls, R.I. on May 17, 1924. He was the son of Ignatius and Catharine Badorek Bednarczyk, and brother of Stanley, Joseph, and  Helen.

Frank was a US Army Veteran of WWII and served in Okinawa, Japan. He was a graduate of East High School in Pawtucket, RI, Class of ’41, and was a 1951 graduate of Brown University.

On May 23, 1953, he married the love of his life, the former Stephana Rose Klimek, who passed away in 2005.

Frank was a mechanical engineer for SKF in Philadelphia, Pa. and then moved to Lewiston, Maine in 1974 to work for Philips Elmet. He was an active member of the former St Patrick’s Parish, and of the Polish National Alliance.

He is survived by his sister Helen; his sons Tom and Daniel, his daughter-in- law Michelle; among many other family members who loved him dearly.

Visitation will be held at the Albert & Burpee Funeral Home on Wednesday, from 9 -11 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11 a.m. Interment, Mt. Hope Cemetery. Donations, condolences, and a video tribute may be found online at www.albert-burpee.com.
