PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — A Maine man has been sentenced to seven years in jail on charges of trafficking in cocaine and violating probation.
A Knox County jury found Kaihil Nigro guilty in December. He had been on probation for a 2008 cocaine possession conviction.
Prosecutor say in 2009, Nigro traveled from Portland to the Rockland area to sell cocaine. They say he sold the drug to a confidential informant working with the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency. During a search, police found he had about $5,300 worth of cocaine in a safe.
