The upcoming second annual Hospice House 5K Race and Remembrance Walk were the topics of a recent Optimist Club meeting, held at Chopsticks Restaurant in Lewiston. The race and walk activities will begin at 8 a.m. Sunday, May 23, at the Hospice House. Pictured, from left, are Terry Blaschke, guest speaker from the Hospice House; Shane Wright, Optimist Club president; Anne Nadeau, vice president; and John Whalen, representing the KMW Fund. The fund was established by the family of Kathleen Whalen to help provide additional funding for patients with limited health insurance coverage. For more information on these programs, call the Development Department at 795-9428. Optimist Club information is available at www.Optimist.org.
