A worker with Jordan Excavation of Kingfield prepares sites to stockpile pipes and construction materials for the water and sewer project on Whittier Road in Farmington. A piece on Lawrence Yeaton’s farm was prepared previously and on Tuesday a worker created space off Whittier Road in a back field on the McCleery Farm, said David Leavitt, RSU 9 director of Support Services. The water/sewer lines are being extended from Route 2 to Mt. Blue High School in preparation for the Mt. Blue Learning Campus project. Construction on the lines is expected to begin next week, Leavitt said.
