LEWISTON — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Jeanne Maranda was celebrated by the Rev. Joseph Daniels Wednesday morning at the Basilica Saints Peter and Paul. At the beginning of Mass, Jeanne’s son, Lucien, placed a crucifix on his mother’s casket. The first reading was proclaimed by Jeanne’s granddaughter, Hallee Maranda. The Prayer of the Faithful was read by granddaughter, Marie Frechette. Offertory gifts were brought to the altar by both granddaughters, Hallee and Marie.
Graveside committal prayers were recited at Mt. Hope Cemtery by the Rev. Daniels. Pallbearers were Lou Maranda, Harry Matthews, Aime McKechnie, Andy Couture and David Higgs. Arrangements by Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home, Lewiston.
