PARIS, Tenn. (AP) – Authorities say a man on a four-wheeler lost control after having a seizure and plowed into a crowd along a Tennessee parade route, injuring 13 people – including an 18-month-old.

It happened Friday in Paris, 120 miles northwest of Nashville, at the annual “World’s Biggest Fish Fry.”

Mike Shankle, director of Emergency Medical Services for a local hospital, said the man was following a float when he lost control and slammed into the crowd.

Shankle said an 18-month-old girl was transferred to Vanderbilt’s children’s hospital in Nashville with serious injuries. Officials said most of the 13 were treated for minor injuries and released.

Police have not yet released the man’s identity. Shankle said he had a history of seizures.
