AUBURN — The celebration of the 70th reunion of the Edward Little Class of 1940 was held on May 15 at the Auburn United Methodist Church.

Of the original 225 classmates, 21 members of the class and 10 family guests reminisced and browsed the many displays. Comments from a number of those unable to attend were noted. Presently there are 148 known deceased members and 16 cannot be located.

Class President Claire Chesley Jr. welcomed the gathering and led the program. Arlene Walllingford Hawkins presented her report as treasurer, and gave an update on the Edward Little Alumni scholarship gifts from the class.

Caroline Berry Chapman was in charge of registration. Marion Hatch Emery-Chesley, chairwoman, presided over the program of interviews of classmates attending. The group plans to hold the next reunion in 2012.
