LEWISTON — Mary E. “Betty” Mullins, 80, a resident of Main Street, Jay, died early Tuesday morning, June 1, at d’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston, where she had been a patient for the past month.
She was born June 10, 1929, in Jay, the daughter of James K. and Grace (Berube) Reed. She attended school in Jay and graduated from Notre Dame High School in Berlin, N.H. On June 30, 1951, in Augusta, she married her husband of 58 years, William T. Mullins.
She worked as an office clerk at G.H. Bass in Wilton, retiring in 1995. She enjoyed cooking, but especially loved the times spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister and will be deeply missed by those who loved her.
She is survived by her husband, William “Ted” Mullins of Jay; her daughters, Barbara Bilodeau and her husband, Mike, of Jay and Dorothy Hall of Concord, N.H.; five grandchildren, Brent Bilodeau and his wife, Tammy, of Auburn, Joel Bilodeau and his wife, Kristy, of Bristol, Vt., and Rob, Courtney and Catherine Cabana of Sanford; three great-grandchildren, Dylan, Hannah and Gavin; her brother, J. Edward Reed of Clearwater, Fla.; and sisters, Arlene Dysart and Louise O’Quinn and her husband, Chuck, both of Greenwood, S.C., Doris Girardin and her husband, Norman, and Jeannine Wilkins and her husband, Hersey, both of Livermore Falls.
