LEWISTON – A funeral Mass honoring the life of Clemence Q. Gervais was celebrated on Monday at the Basilica of SS. Peter and Paul, Prince of Peace Parish, following prayers at the Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home. Msgr. Marc Caron celebrated the Mass.

During the Mass, the first reading was presented by Mrs. Gervais’ niece, Claudette Lachance and the Prayer of the Faithful was read by great-granddaughter, Abbi Pilot. At the end of Mass granddaughter, Susan Martin read a poem in tribute to her grandmother. Bearers were Brandon, Andrew, Joseph and Austin Gervais and Kevin and Lee Madore. All in attendance were invited to a reception of fellowship at the Panda Garden Restaurant in Auburn, following the services at the church. Burial will be private at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta.
