WESTBROOK — A. Raymond Maxwell, 57, of Spring Street, Lewiston, died unexpectedly on Monday, June 7, at his home.
He was born in Portland, the son of Arthur Raymond and Doris LeConte Maxwell. He was raised and educated in Westbrook, moving to Livermore Falls at the age of 12. He graduated from Livermore Falls High School in 1971.
He enlisted in the U. S. Navy after graduating. He served on the Aircraft Carrier U.S.S. Forrestal. He was a longtime employee of Hawker Acoustical.
He is survived by his mother, Doris and stepfather, Willis Tripp, of Livermore Falls; special friend, Holly Freeman of Westbrook; sister, Sharon Maxwell Bailey and husband, Bernal, of Oakland; brothers, Edmond Tripp of Limington and Michael and wife, Chrystal Tripp, of Fayette; nephew, Mason Tripp; nieces, Kim and Beth Bailey, Erica and Michaela Tripp, Jessica Eadon, Kyla Timberlake and Karina Tripp; and many aunts and uncles.
He was predeceased by his father, A. Raymond Maxwell; maternal grandparents, Rudolph and Mona LeConte; and paternal grandparents, John and Aniie Maxwell.
