FARMINGTON — Blanche Louise Holman Parker, 89, went to join her family and friends in heaven on Wednesday, June 9.
She was born April 24, 1921, in Portland, the daughter of O. Merton and L. Alice (Libby) Holman. She graduated from Mexico High School in 1938, And in 1940 married Aaron. She and her husband owned Jacob’s Market in Wilton for many years, and she retired as a cook at Edgewood Manor in Farmington.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda Abbott of Anson; two sons, James and his wife, Patti, of Wilton, and Merton of New Sharon; a sister, Mary Waliek of Peru; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren (with one more on the way), two step granddaughters and two step great-grandsons; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband in 1992; a daughter, June Gould, in 1972; grandson, Dale Abbott, in 1998; and son-in-law, Earl “Sonny” Abbott Jr. in 1996.
