SOUTH PARIS — The Learning Opportunities for Our Kids program will run from July 19 to 30, at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. L.O.O.K. classes run for five weekdays and last 95 minutes. Children may choose two classes each week and each class costs $30.
L.O.O.K. teachers offer workshop-style classes not usually offered in the traditional school year. For example, art classes will include Song Writing, Story Dancing, Mask Making Around the World, Gardening in a Living Laboratory, Lego Technics, Map Building, Hot Wax Painting, Pottery, Mosaics, Drawing Adventures, M.C.Escher and Optical Art.
French, Spanish, Russian and Chinese will be offered by teachers who have traveled to areas where these languages are spoken; they will enhance the classes with crafts, songs, foods and games.
