AUBURN — The Capt. Frank W. Hulett VFW Post 1603, 588 Minot Ave., recently returned home from the State Convention in Ellsworth with more than 16 top awards.

The Post received awards in Voice of Democracy/Patriot’s Pen, Americanism/Loyalty Day, Blood Bank, Buddy Poppy, Community Activities, Youth Activities, Hospital/VAVS, POW/MIA, Safety and Drug Abuse, Teacher of the Year and Membership (Post of the Year), which made Donald W. Linscott an All-State Post Quartermaster and Keith Davis a Captain of the All-State Post Commanders for 2009-10.

Members will also attend the National Convention in Indianapolis, Ind. in August, where the Post will receive a national plaque for becoming Outstanding Post of the Year for Community Activities.
