BRYANT POND — Ronald and Alice Deegan of Bryant Pond and Paul and Kathy Benson of Woodstock and Bethel are pleased to announce the engagement of their children, Michelle Ann Deegan and Jeremy Paul Benson.

Miss Deegan is a 2003 graduate of Telstar Regional high School and a graduate of Central Maine Community College with an associate degree in human services. She is currently attending the University of Southern Maine, where she will complete her bachelor’s degree in social and behavioral sciences with a concentration in counseling. Besides taking classes, she is currently on the staff for TNT Dance in Fairfield and assists at Bridget’s School of Dance in Bethel.

Mr. Benson is also a 2003 graduate of Telstar Regional High School in Bethel. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy from August 2003 through August 2007, where he was an aviation ordinance man and was a member of the in-port security force and the ship’s self defense force for two years on board the USS Theodore Roosevelt CVN-71. He attended the Advanced Technology Institute and obtained his commercial drivers license. He is currently employed at Brinks in Lewiston.

A 2011 summer wedding is being planned.
