Neria Lauren Douglass of Auburn was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in neuroscience from Wellesley College in Wellesley, Mass. on May 28. Douglass also completed the academic requirements for a minor concentration in psychology.
She was also inducted into Sigma Xi, a national scientific research society, based upon research she performed on decoding the neural mechanism for conscious perception utilizing laboratory animals. While at Wellesley, Douglass was a member of Tau Zeta Epsilon, an arts and music society.
She graduated from Edward Little High School in 2006 and is the daughter of Paul and Neria Douglass of Auburn and the granddaughter of Roland H. Douglass of Auburn, James Ryder of Sierra Vista, Ariz. and Neria Ryder of Tempe, Ariz.
