JAY — A golf cart stolen from Livermore Falls High School was found by police off the Whistle-Stop Trail behind Jay Plaza on June 29.
Officer Russell Adams said Wednesday that police heard last Friday that an employee at Livermore Falls High School reported the theft.
Livermore Falls police officer Steve Wilkinson, who is investigating the burglary and theft, said the cart was stolen from an unlocked shed on a school athletic field.
An employee found it was missing when he went to do some yard work, Wilkinson said.
Livermore Falls High School employees identified the cart and picked it up Tuesday. They didn’t believe it had been damaged.
