DIXFIELD — The following incidents were handled by the Dixfield Police Department.
Accidents
A vehicle driven by Jay Gerrish, 47, Young’s Park Road, Mexico, hit a deer on July 9 as Gerrish was driving west along Route 2 just outside of the village. The 2003, four-door Toyota sustained $3,000 damage.
Two people sustained minor injuries when Raymond Thompson, 69, of Chesterville hit the Dixfield Congregational Church sign on Main Street at 2:20 p.m. on June 28. Thompson, and a passenger, Harriet Ryder, 69, were taken to Rumford Hospital where they were treated and released. Thompson’s 2008 Ford Mustang sustained $4,000 damage.
Vandalism
Three homes on Pine Street were pelted with eggs sometime between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. on July 19.
