Book sale set

WEST PARIS — The West Paris (Little Castle) Public Library will hold its annual summer book sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 31, at the West Paris Grange Hall, 4 Church St.

Guild to meet

SOUTH PARIS — The Western Maine Knitting Guild will meet from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Aug. 3, at the Haskell House next to the First Congregational Church. The program will be videos on knitting by Marvis Maynard.

Grange events

WEST PARIS — West Paris Grange 298 will host Oxford Pomona Grange at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3, preceded by a 6:30 p.m. supper. The annual Grange picnic will be held at the home of Grange Master Fred Breame and wife, Pat, Route 26, at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5. The Grange will hold a meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, at the hall, 4 Church St.

Vacation school

WEST PARIS — The West Paris Baptist Church and the Mission Congregational Church will hold Vacation Bible School for youngsters in kindergarten through sixth grades from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday, Aug. 9 to 13. There will be music, Bible stories and study, crafts, games and food.

This year’s leaders will be Kristine Walker, Dorene Long and two teachers from Child Evangelism Fellowship, plus several members of both of the above churches.
