Memorial Weekend officially started the tourist season at the Rumford Information Center. It’s at that time that the River Valley Chamber of Commerce debuted its new Four Season Guide, packed with information about the 10-town River Valley area and all it has to offer. 10,000 are printed every year and more than half are sent to the seven State Information Centers in Maine for tourists to pick up while visiting there. Here in the River Valley area, they are available at the Rumford Information Center, the town offices, and participating businesses and lodging facilities as well as the Chamber office.

This marketing tool is just another one of the Chamber’s benefits to its members. A listing of Chamber members make up the back pages of the guide book and gives tourists and people relocating to our area a reference of resource for the area. Everyone visiting the Rumford Information Center walks out with one in their hand.
