FARMINGTON — Lexi Mittelstadt scored 26 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for a double-double as Mt. Blue defeated Cony 47-38 in a girls’ basketball game Saturday.

Mittelstadt led the way as the Cougars (4-1) pulled away in the fourth quarter. Kiely Reynolds scored 12 and also amassed five steals in the win.

Cony (0-5) was led by freshman Alyssa Redman and Brooklyn Belanger, who each scored eight points.

Oak Hill 55, Carrabec 20

NORTH ANSON — Abby Nadeau led all scorers with 17 points as Oak Hill rolled to a 55-20 girls’ basketball win over Carrabec on Saturday.

Nadeau made seven field goals, including one 3-pointer. Desirae Dumais scored 10 points as Oak Hill (6-0) received points from nine players.

Carrabec (2-3) fell far behind in the second quarter, when it was outscored 16-2. Leading the way for Carrabec was Brooke Welch with six points.

Rangeley 66, Vinalhaven 15

RANGELEY — Brooke Egan scored 21 as Rangeley cruised to a 66-15 win over Vinalhaven on Saturday in girls’ basketball action.

Egan led the way with nine field goals for Rangeley (6-1). Lauren Eastlack added 14 points and Emily Eastlack and Olivia Pye scored 10 apiece.

Hope Cluff scored six for Vinalhaven (1-6) in the loss.

Rangeley 60, Vinalhaven 54

RANGELEY — Nolan Boone scored 22 points to propel Rangeley to a 60-54 boys’ basketball win over Vinalhaven on Saturday.

Boone’s seven field goals and seven free throws were enough for Rangeley (4-1) to squeak by with the win. Callahan Crosby and Ian Lillis each scored 11 in the victory.

The Vikings (0-6) made a slight comeback in the second half but couldn’t catch up to the Lakers. Mikael Stone scored 19 to pace Vinalhaven. Timothy Farrelly added 12 points.

Spruce Mountain 77, Telstar 25

BETHEL — Cameron Cain scored 14 in Spruce Mountain’s end-to-end 77-25 boys’ basketball win over Telstar on Saturday.

Kyle Stewart scored 12 points for the Phoenix (5-0) and Andrew Shaw chipped in 11. Nine players scored for Spruce Mountain.

Brayden Stevens led Telstar (0-6) with 11 points. Davin Mason added nine points.

Girls’ hockey

Edward Little/Leavitt/Poland 1, Falmouth 1, tie

FALMOUTH — Eve Martineau scored for Edward Little/Leavitt/Poland (7-0-1), and Kayla Sarazin answered for Falmouth (4-2-1) as the teams played to a girls’ hockey tie at Falmouth Ice Arena.

Martineau put the Red Eddies ahead with 29 seconds left in the second period, sneaking a deflection of Caroline Audette’s shot past goalie Julia Bonnvie.

Sarazin tied the game at the 8:30 mark of the third period, taking a pass from Reade Carmichael and rushing the net for a shot off the near post.
