BETHEL — Luci Rothwell had a double-double, scoring 24 points and grabbing 20 boards in Telstar’s 53-36 girls’ basketball victory over Lisbon on Wednesday.

Brooke Richardson contributed 11 points for the Rebels (1-7) and seven rebounds.

Charlee Cox had 13 points for the Greyhounds (0-6), while Mallory Fairbanks had 12 points.

Hall-Dale 46, Spruce Mountain 36

FARMINGDALE — Freshman forward Iris Ireland notched a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds to lead Hall-Dale to a 46-36 victory over Spruce Mountain in girls’ basketball action Wednesday evening.

The Bulldogs (4-3) went 9-of-11 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter to secure the win. Freshman guard Caden Wills contributed 12 points on four field goals, including three from 3-point range, for Hall-Dale.

Junior guard Jaycee Cole led the Phoenix (6-2) with 13 points in the losing effort.

Leavitt 60, Morse 37

TURNER — Taylor White had 18 points to lead Leavitt to a 60-37 victory over Morse in a KVAC girls’ basketball contest Wednesday.

Alison Noniweicz scored 16 points for the Hornets (2-4).

Julia Goddard led the Shipbuilders (0-7) with 13 points, while Marija Medenica had 11.

Monmouth 51, Dirigo 37

DIXFIELD — Kaetti Butterfield recorded a team-leading 12 points to pace a balanced attack as Monmouth dispatched Dirigo 51-37 in girls’ basketball action Wednesday evening.

The Mustangs (4-3) came out strong in the first half, taking a 28-14 halftime lead. Both teams saw equal points of nine and 14 in the two frames of the second half.

Julia Johnson and Libby Clement posted 11 points each for Monmouth.

Alexa Varnum tossed in a game-high 15 points with five field goals and five from the free throw line for the Cougars (1-5) in the losing effort.

Oak Hill 43, Madison 21

MADISON — Senior Abigail Nadeau posted a game-high 16 points to lead Oak Hill to a 43-21 victory over Madison in girls’ basketball action Wednesday evening.

The Raiders (7-0) jumped out to a 9-0 lead, and were up 16-5 after one quarter. Sophomore Anna Beach contributed seven points for Oak Hill, while the defense clamped down on Madison.

Forward Kathryn Worthen scored a team-leading six points for the Bulldogs (4-3).

Oxford Hills 52, Bangor 38

BANGOR — Cassidy Dumont and Julia Colby scored 19 and 18 points, respectively, to lift Oxford Hills to a 52-38 girls’ basketball victory over Bangor on Wednesday.

The Vikings (6-1) picked up the tempo in the middle two quarters, scoring 36 points in the two frames.

Abby Fleming netted 12 points, while Maggie Cowperthwaite tossed five field goals for 10 points for the Rams (3-4) in the losing effort.

Rangeley 61, Pine Tree 17

RANGELEY — Junior forward Emily Olivia Pye drained 20 points to lead Rangeley to a 61-17 victory over Pine Tree Academy in girls’ basketball action Wednesday evening.

The Lakers (8-1) picked up the tempo in the second quarter and didn’t let down until the final buzzer. Freshman forward Winnie LaRochelle contributed 16 points on six field goals, four free throws and eight rebounds for Rangeley.

Senior forward Emily Schlisner was the leading scorer with six points for the Breakers (2-2) in the losing effort.

Winthrop 57, Carrabec 40

NORTH ANSON — Aaliyah WilsonFalcone tabulated a team-leading 21 points as Winthrop mustered a 57-40 girls’ basketball victory over Carrabec on Wednesday evening.

The Ramblers (7-0) worked their way to a 24-14 halftime lead, and kicked up some dust with a 23-12 final quarter. Kena Souza contributed 11 points for Winthrop.

Cheyenne Cahill plowed home a game-high 25 points for the Cobras (2-5).

Boothbay 65, Wiscasset 22

WISCASSET — Glory Blethen scored 21 points and Faith Blethen added 19 as the Seahawks (7-0) downed the Wolverines (0-7) in Wiscasset.

Chloe Arsenault chipped in with 10 points for the Seahawks, who led 35-12 at halftime.

Madison Carrier scored six points for Wiscasset.

Boys’ basketball

Rangeley 71, Pine Tree 35

RANGELEY — Nolan Boone poured in 23 points to lead Rangeley to a 71-35 boys’ basketball win over Pine Tree Academy on Wednesday.

Kenny Thompson added 15 points and William Brey had 12 for the Lakers (5-2), who trailed 10-6 after one quarter but then scored 20 or more points in each of the final three quarters.

Pine Tree (1-3) was led by Grant Milano’s 12 points.

St. Dom’s 4, Scarborough 4, tie

GORHAM — The Saints (4-3-1) scored four goals over an 8:32 span in the third period to rally from a 4-0 deficit and tie the Red Storm (6-2-1) at USM Arena in Gorham.

Avery Lutrzykowski scored twice, and made it 4-3 on an unassisted goal before Alexandra Hammarton tied the game midway through the third. Bella Webster added a goal for the Saints.

Second-period goals from Calynn Gendreau, Maya Sellinger and Carrie Timpson put Scarborough ahead 4-0 heading into the third. Evelyn Boardman also scored for Scarborough.
