The Visiting Artist Gallery at Northern Cumberland Memorial Hospital will welcome the works of Auburn artist Joyce Coyne beginning Feb 3. Among Coyne’s favorite subjects, which she depicts primarily using watercolor, are gardens and flowers, which lend themselves ideally to her soft, simple and colorful style. She has been the recipient of numerous awards, including Purchase Awards from 1990 through 1993 at the Lewiston Summer Art Festival. Exhibits she has participated in include a juried exhibit at Montreal Botanical Garden, WCBB Art Reception, National Endowment for the Arts — LA Arts Artists ’94, Portland Chamber of Commerce, and one-person art shows at Central Maine Medical Center and Mid Maine Medical Center.
