A telephone booth will soon be placed in the Lewiston Post Office. It is believed that this would be of great convenience to people wishing to use a telephone at night after the local office is closed to the public.

Richard I. Davis, manager of Davis Cadillac Company, has been selected to head the automotive employees section of the 1960 United Fund campaign. His appointment was announced by Campaign Chairman William B. Lever.
This year’s United Fund drive has set its goal at $205,000, or $5,000 more than the fund goal of 1959 when $185,000 was raised.

The Lewiston School Committee Monday set a state-mandated public hearing to determine if parents of children attending five selected elementary schools would like them to be served breakfast before classes.
Legislation signed by Gov. Joseph E. Brennan in June requires that school boards or committees overseeing “especially needy” schools hold a public hearing to find out if parents want the school department to participate in the National School Breakfast Program.
