BRIDGTON — Carl Moreau scored a pair of goals and goalie Ryan Cavallaro kept the ball out of the net to lead Gray-New Gloucester to a 4-0 triumph over Lake Region.

Josh Martel and Kolby Arnold rounded out the scoring for the Patriots (3-3). Ian Martel, Noah Lobozzo and Jake Street were credited with assists.

Gray-NG outshot the Lakers, 28-3. Jack Shaine had 10 saves for Lake Region (1-4-1), while Cavallaro made three stops.

Richmond 4, Rangeley 1

RANGELEY — Michael Christie scored a pair of goals as first-place Richmond scored three times in the first hald en route to a 4-1 victory over Rangeley.

Richmond (4-1-1) also received goals from Sam Lorbeski and Ben Carver.A.J. Elmes scored thhe lone goal for Rangeley (1-4-1), which was set up by Austin Figoli.

Carl Searles stopped nine shots for the Lakers. Taylor Harrington of Richmond made four saves.

Calvary Chapel 4, Buckfield 1

BUCKFIELD — Matt Goodness snapped a 1-1 deadlock with 18 minutes to play to send Calvary Chapel to a 4-1 boys’ soccer victory over Buckfield on Monday.

After a scoreless first half, goals by Buckfield’s Austin Dooley and Stephen Berenyi left the teams in anotehr deadlock until Goodness’ game-winner. Berenyi finished with two goals for the visitors and Derek Russell also scored.

Trevor Averill assisted on Dooley’s marker.

Kasey Robertson made 22 saves for the Bucks (2-3), while Devon Worman stopped seven shots for Calvary.

Girls’ soccer

Buckfield 4, Calvary Chapel 2

BUCKFIELD — Abby Bragg assisted on two goals to help Buckfield win its first game girls’ soccer of the season, a 4-2 triumph over Calvary Chapel.

Scoring for the Bucks (1-3-1) were Ashley Casey, Arrabine Dunn, Dakota Warren and Danielle Patrie. Katie Downs and Jessica Owens scored for Calvary.

Taylor Shepard-Smith stopped five shots and Katie Corson had two saves while sharing goal duties for Buckfield. Meagan Worman had 10 saves for the visitors.

Poland 5, Fryeburg 2

FRYEBURG — Seven different players registered a point and five scored a goal as Poland overcame a deficit in shots and corner kicks to defeat Fryeburg 5-2 in a Western Maine Conference soccer showdown Monday. Lindsey Theriault, Emily Bolduc, Makayla Dube, Tanisha Elston and Emma Turton all scored for the Knights (3-3), with Turton, Molly Rand and Jen Powell collecting assists.

Samy Nardone and Jamie Gullickson scored for the Raiders (0-7) and Sylvia Brooks added an assist.

Cassi Mocciola made seven saves to earn the win in net for Poland.

Field hockey

Telstar 5, Dirigo 0

DIXFIELD — Telstar played a smothering defense, preventing Dirigo from attempting a shot on goal in the Rebels’ 5-0 victory in MVC field hockey action Monday.

Katie Sumner scored two goals to lead the offense. Kayla Merrill added a goal and an assist, while Kallie Brown and Emma Davis also scored for Telstar (6-1).

Betsy Noyes made 17 saves for the Cougars (1-6).

Livermore Falls 10, Boothbay 0

BOOTHBAY — Katherine Ventrella scored three goals and three other players scored a pair of goals as unbeaten Livermore Falls rolled to a 10-0 triumph over Boothbay.

Samantha Greenwood, Kim Theriault and Erin Gats scored two goals apiece during the Andies’ onslaught. Micaela Baron also scoredf for Livermore Falls (7-0).Annika Durrell and Lexie Niedner contributed an assist.

Caylee Morris stopped four shots for Telstar, which enjoyed a 15-4 edge in shots and 14-6 in corners over Boothbay (2-4-1).

Hall-Dale 1, St. Dom’s 0

AUBURN — St. Dom’s threatened to get into the win column for the first time this season, but Wendy Goldman’s second-half goal allowed Hall-Dale to escape Monday with a 1-0 MVC field hockey win.

Jade Hebert assisted the goal with just over 16 minutes remaining.

Marisa Zamrock made 13 saves for the Saints (0-6-1). Kayla Barton stopped 16 shots to earn the shutout for the Bulldogs (2-4).

Winthrop 2, Lisbon 0

LISBON — Lauren Kaiser broke the ice with 40 seconds remaining in the first half and Nikki Scott added another with 19 seconds to play in the game to lead Winthrop to a 2-0 win over Lisbon in MVC field hockey action Monday.

Lauren Bryant made nine saves for the visiting Ramblers (6-1), while Hailey Jamison stopped six for the Greyhounds (3-4) .
