WILTON — A baby’s bed and other household items were taken from a Wilton home Monday, police Chief Dennis Brown said.
Owners of a McCrillis Corner Road home came home at about 12:30 p.m. Monday to find the back door of their home was broken and someone had stolen several items valued at less than $1,000, he said.
It is believed that the incident happened the night before.
Police are also investigating a theft Monday on Village View Street where a cell phone and bottle of methadone were taken from a home, he said. The owner reported the theft at 5:50 p.m. Monday but police believe it occurred within the previous two days and may have involved someone who visited the house.
A juvenile was charged early Sunday morning with possession of alcohol, possession of a usable amount of marijuana and a third charge involving drug paraphernalia used for selling. The charges stem from a routine traffic stop at about 12:25 a.m. Sunday on Route 2, Brown said.
