AUGUSTA — William Ernest Bowker Jr., 60, of Sabattus, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 28, at the Togus VA Medical Center.
He was born May 27, 1950, in Farmington, the son of the late William Bowker Sr. and Minnie (Dyer) Bowker. He graduated from high school and later served in the U.S. Army as a mechanic. He worked for Beef Distributors for many years and a few other local businesses.
Bill, as he was so affectionately called, enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and watching the races and wrestling. He also enjoyed sharing life stories with everyone he met. He always told a good story and was a sweet and gentle man. He will be greatly missed by his family and everyone who knew him. He touched the hearts of many and anyone that was in his life knew that he was a generous and loving man.
