LEWISTON — Gene C. Davis, 75, of Canton, died Saturday at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
He was born in Boston, Dec. 27, 1933, a son of Norman R. and Ruth (Gammon) Davis and grew up on the family farm in Hartford. He enjoyed good food, was very fond of dogs and loved trains all of his life. He especially enjoyed the trains coming and going from Canton.
He is survived by his sister, Norma Campbell and her husband, Sheldon, of Canton, with whom he had made his home; a sister-in-law, Freida Davis of Auburn; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Victor.
