The county budget needs watching

Issue: Nomination of candidates to the Androscoggin County Budget Committee.

The Scoop: Selectmen unanimously nominated Mike Bowie of Lisbon, Mike Gendron of Sabattus and Philippe Moreau of Greene to three-year terms. The three people would serve the county’s 1st district, which includes Durham, Greene, Leeds, Lisbon, Livermore, Livermore Falls, Sabattus, Turner and Wales.

Up next: The County Commission is weighing whether it can accept the nominations, which were late.
