Evelyn graduated from Caribou High School in 1942 and married Kenneth M. Lewis, of Caribou. They resided throughout Aroostook County and moved to Portland in 1964, before finally settling in Gray in 1968. They had 10 children together, Gloria J. Along with nine of her children, she is survived by three sisters, Madeline Randall, Betty Walker and Aline Langley.

Evelyn enjoyed the many family gatherings with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, shopping, yard sales and making silk flower arrangements. She always surprised her family with May baskets every year. Evelyn was well known for keeping her children and their friends in-line with whatever was in her reach and gave us all plenty of exercise.

We will miss her found ways, acts of kindness and ability to always keep the family tightly bonded. Mom has gone home to embrace her husband, Ken; daughter, Sheila Joy; sister, Mavis Langley – Joyce; and granddaughters, Shona Marie Lewis and Aubreigh Jayne McKay.
