The article (Oct. 8) about the U.S. government faulting Pakistan’s inadequate response to relief efforts included the words, “… and they criticize the government of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani for failing to introduce taxes on the wealthy to pay for day-to-day government and for reconstruction.”
How can government officials say that to another country while the Bush administration tax cuts for the wealthy are still in place?
How can this country demand that other countries make changes that aren’t being made here?
Isn’t that hypocrisy?
