Society meeting
RUMFORD — The Rumford Area Historical Society will meet from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16.
The meeting will not be held at the Town Hall as usual, but Bill Weston will host it at his historic home and farm located at 1554 Route 2, formerly the home and farm of Rumford town father Waldo Pettengill.
All are welcome to learn the history and take a tour of the home and barn.
Crafters wanted
BUCKFIELD — Crafters are needed for the Nezinscot Valley annual holiday craft fair, to be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at the Buckfield Junior-Senior High School, 160 Morrill St.
Cost for and 8-foot by 10-foot space is $15. Crafters should bring their own table. Call Meghan Andrews-Wright at 336-2557 to reserve a space.
Haunted events
CARTHAGE — The Webb River Valley ATV Club will sponsor a haunted hay ride and haunted house at 6:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 22 and 23, at the Blue Moose Campground, owned by Georgette and Mike Skidgell. The cost is $5 a person. The event is not recommended for children.
An event just for children will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24. The cost is $5. Reservations are recommended for the events. Call 562-4908.
Class lunch
RUMFORD — The Stephens High School Class of 1946 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, at the Route 2 Diner.
Harvest party
MEXICO — Mexico Recreations will host a Harvest Party from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30. The event is free and there will be games, prizes, a costume contest and a movie. Anyone wishing to help may call Mabel at 364-3343 or donate candy at Ta-Dah’s to help with the event.
Class to meet
RUMFORD — Members of the Stephens High School Class of 1950 are invited to meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 18, at the River Valley Grill.
