LEWISTON — The Great Falls Forum lecture series will present MaryEllen FitzGerald, president of Critical Insights Inc., from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday in Callahan Hall at the Lewiston Public Library.
Her lecture is titled “The Mindset of Mainers.”
FitzGerald is a behavioral scientist with more than 20 years of experience documenting and interpreting the perceptions and attitudes of consumers, corporate decision-makers and the general public. Her firm has become one of the largest and most respected market research firms in Northern New England since its inception in 1992. Critical Insights has been utilized over the last month by Maine Today Media to track voter sentiment in the current governor’s race.
FitzGerald will unveil the results of the company’s recently-completed statewide tracking survey which takes a look at Mainers’ thoughts, opinions and preferences, and will analyze the data to illustrate the concerns that are likely to push voters away from or toward the various gubernatorial candidates.
Admission is free and no reservations are required. Attendees are invited to bring brown bag lunches or to take advantage of the forum’s partnership with Guthries cafe and request one of the eatery’s sandwiches or salads to be delivered to the library in advance of the talk.
