NORWAY — Norway Grange 45 hosted a three-point meeting on Oct. 9, with Excelsior Grange 5 from Poland and Lakeside Grange 63 from Harrison.

A potluck supper put on by the Norway ladies preceded the meeting. Kenneth Butterfield from Lakeside Grange was worthy master and Charmaine Andrews from Excelsior Grange put on the program.

Past Maine State Grange Steward Harold Parsons presented a 65-year Continuous Membership Certificate and Seal to Ethel H. Lacourse. Lacourse joined Frederick Robie Grange in October of 1945 with her parents, Ada E. and Lyman S. Herrick Sr., and brother, Lyman S. Herrick Jr., and transferred to Norway Grange in 1947.

She has been very active and is presently secretary, holding that office for 40 years (continuous for the past 30 years) and has also held the office of treasurer, flora, ceres, lady assistant steward and master. She was surprised by the presence of her daughter, Linda Jack, who is a 45-year member of Norway Grange and son-in-law, Randall Jack, who is a 25-year member.
