What caused the national recession? Let’s begin with lobbyists. In Congress, there are 435 lobbyists in the House for the people. In the Senate, there are 100 lobbyists for the people. But corporations have some 20,000 lobbyists at last report.

There are 273 millionaires or multi-millionaires in Congress. Who are they benefiting from and listening to? It is very obvious it’s not for the well-being of America and its people.

It appears the people come last or they would not be in this serious fix.

NAFTA and GAFTA were excellent deals for corporate America and manufacturers. Our jobs went overseas. Products come back as if they were union-made but everything we buy comes from China or some other country, thanks to Congress.

We are not independent. We depend on corporations for all our needs — food, clothing, housing products, car parts, etc. Much of those come from foreign countries, which mean bigger profits for corporations.

Housing loans, sub-prime loans and all, it was obvious corporations planned and saw it coming.

President Barack Obama inherited the mess. People must support him to fix this jobless country.

Corporations are enjoying the life of Riley, now.
